Glow-y Scorpion Exoskeleton
No matter the color, whether it be jet-black or other, scorpion exoskeletons emit photons when exposed to ultra-violet light, causing them to glow in the dark. A new hypothesis suggests that the entire exoskeleton of a scorpion is a one ginormous eye, detecting when light or shadow is draped across it so the scorpion knows when and where to hide.
SCORPIBRO SAFETY TIP: Do not leave a scorpion under a UV light for extended periods of time, as the rays will eventually kill it.
