The Lorax by Tom the Dancing Bug/Ruben Bolling
The Lorax speaks for the trees… and now the SUV’s. One of my favorite cartoonists, Ruben Bolling aka Ken Fisher, points out the insulting hypocracy of mining Dr. Seuss’ seminal work about the dangers of environmental exploitation, over-commercialization, mass production, and corporate greed for the sole purpose of exploiting and over-commercializing the characters for mass production and corporate greed. Dr. Seuss, whichever afterlife you decided to take over, if you can hear me, I apologize for the human race. Your classic cautionary tale was eerily prescient in that we will never, in fact, learn our lesson.
