Usually I think of birds as solely flying things, but apparently they can go underwater too which gives them a preternatural advantage over pretty much every other animal on earth. Also, they were once dinosaurs so I think life is unfairly balanced towards birds. These gorgeous photos of diving Cape Gannets were taken on South African Wild Coast over the period of a few years and damned if birds don’t look pretty too, just to rub it in.
