Ice Men Cometh by Nele Azevedo
As part of her “minimum monument” project, presented as part of the Belfast Festival at Queen’s University in Northern Ireland, Nele hand carved hundreds of these tiny, charming ice people and perched them on the steps of Custom House in Belfast. A perfect vantage point for them to bear witness to the world as the heat of the sun slowly melted them away, leaving them as another transitory step in the grand circular process of life.
