Two days before to after each moon event in May and June horseshoe crabs come up to shore during the high tide to mate en masse on the Atlantic coast of Delaware (and probably other places as well). It’s a pretty amazing site to see piles of them milling about on the shore. These spawning events are also very important for migratory birds which stop by to feed on the eggs in the morning.
It’s a goddamn horseshoe orgy up in here!!
