VHS Still Frame Paintings by Andy Denzler
Impressed by his work with audio visual equipment in high school, Andy recognized a strange photo manipulation technique that he described as “something hovering beneath the surface of the paint”. Fast forward to today (get it? it’s like what you do with a VCR) and Andy was inspired to freeze video cassettes and recreate the scenes in paint, complete with magnetic scan lines.
